Student council is a learning opportunity
for involving young people in their own school to develop
commitments to citizenship, scholarship, leadership, human
relationships and cultural values that our heritage may have
even greater worth for the next generation.
The student body consists of students who are committed to bettering Leander
High School by fairly representing their class and by having integrity
in all their decisions. There are yearly elections that students sign up
for and campaign for. Elections are held in the spring, except for the
new freshman class elections which are in the fall.
That's What Friends Are For will
be held 8th period Friday, November 16th. Organizations
will sponsor food and activity booths for this in-school carnival.
All proceeds will go into an account designed to help an
LHS student in need. Read more here. |
