PALS participate in training and team-building games to get to know each other and teach each other how a PALS student should act and handle different situations.

What is PALS?
· Peer Assistance and Leadership Skills
· Program designed with the belief that students can and do make a positive impact in the lives of other students
· Not counselors, but role models or students with good skills

What can we do for you?
· Mentor at-risk students, new students, or students who may be going through a difficult time
· Meet in groups and do team-building activities to build self-esteem and confidence
· Encourage positive behavior
· One on one and/or group mentoring

Other Services
· Take students to lunch/campus tours
· Help with school/ community projects
· TAKS pep rallies
· Model reading on DEAR days
· Assisting with book fairs
· Field days
· Arts and crafts
· Teach importance of good study and organizational skills
· Model importance of safety in different areas

How can I join PALS?
· PALS is an application process held in the spring semester.
· In the spring semester, listen for the announcement about applications and make sure to pick one up!
