PASS POLICY
Students are welcome to visit the library at any time. Before school, after school, and during lunch are times when students may come on their own. When coming to the library from a class, however, students must have a PASS and must sign in at the desk. If the pass is not properly filled out or signed by a teacher, students will be sent back to class.

CHECK OUT POLICY
Books are checked out at the Circulation Desk for two (2) weeks. A CURRENT - YEAR Leander High School student I.D. card is required to check out any materials. As we have a waiting list for some of our more popular authors, students may recheck their books only two more times after the initial check - out. That gives all students a fair chance to read these titles. Students may check out a limit of four items, two of which may be reference.

RETURN POLICY
Magazines and Reference Books may be checked out OVERNIGHT ONLY. These materials are due before the tardy bell for first period on the following day. Books and overnight materials may be returned at the at the Circulation Desk or in the drop box slot located in the wall near the entrance to the library.

COMPUTER POLICY
At no time may students visit the library on a pass from class to access the Internet for recreational purposes.

OVERDUE POLICY
Should your books be overdue, the fine is 10 cents per school day for two-week items. Overnight materials are 50 cents per school day beginning after the tardy bell to FIRST period. Being absent from school the day your book is due does not automatically remove or excuse from fines. Fines are removed only for excused absences.

LOST BOOK POLICY
Patrons who lose library materials must pay the cost of the items(s) plus a $1 charge for replacement of the bookcard, barcode, barcode label, etc. This fee is reflected in the price of the book. There is a one dollar charge for all the lost date due cards. If lost item(s) are found and are in reasonable condition, students will receive full refunds.

PRINTING OR COPYING POLICY
The library has a copying machine for student use. Xerox copies are 10 cents each; transparencies are 25 cents each. The color printer cost 50 cents each.

There is a world of information in the Library, and the Library staff is ready and able to help you find what you need and want to learn. Please don't hesitate to ask one of us for help.
